Knightdale - Gracie Elizabeth Murray Willoughby, 91, of 1413 Old Knight Road, passed away at the home of her daughter, Joan, in Middlesex on Sunday, March 13, 2011. She was born in Johnston County on October 26, 1919 to the late Johnny Hillard Murray and Jinnie Pope Murray. She retired with eleven years of service with Square D. Elizabeth was affectionately known as "Mont-Mont", and was known for her home-cooked meals, and her love of family. Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 19, 2011 at L. Surviving: Son: Johnnie Willoughby of Middlesex Daughters: Joan Ellington, Doris Carroll, and Nellie John, all of Middlesex Margaret Stallings of Raleigh 9 Grandchildren 17 Great-Grandchildren In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Thomas Willoughby; her daughter, Octavia Whitley; grandson, Randy Whitley; granddaughter, Tavia; 4 brothers and 5 sisters.
