Grant Ledingham Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Mar. 23 to Mar. 29, 2017.
On March 10th, the world lost an amazing gregarious man. Grant was born in Mississauga Ontario Canada in 1961 and was always so proud of his Canadian roots and his US Citizenship which he obtained in 2008. Grant graduated from Ambassador College with a Major in Theology.

His humor was loud, fun and always the life of the party. His style and personality filled any room. His friends called him the "most interesting man in the world". He had an amazing passion for culinary, friends, laughter, The LA Kings, really bad jokes and traveling the world with his wife Sharon.

Grant leaves behind his loving mother Audrey (Clark) Ledingham, his twin brother Clark (Nicola Jane) their two children Evan and Caitlin, his sister Ann Moxley and her husband Randy and their two children Cody and Dylan. The love of his life, his wife Sharon Roney Ledingham and his little man, Justin McHugh. He will be so missed and loved by everyone that knew him.

Grant would request in his honor that donations be made to his favorite charity Wounded Warriors. Donations can be made at: www.woundedwarriorproject.org.

Really, truly sorry to hear about this. Words cannot express the shock and sadness the ones that knew him feel. We are known for our memories as the song goes and Grant truly is a great example of a life well lived. May he rest in peace. :(

Condolences to the Ledingham family. I grew up with the Ledinghams in Toronto and have many, many fond memories. So sad to know Grant was whisked away too soon. Peace my friend. xx

I met Grant in the late 1970's in Mississauga, Ontario. We shared some great times together whether it was hockey, ice skating, car rallies or just hanging out. Though our lives took us different directions geographically, I always cherished our time together in Canada. Too soon gone, but never forgotten.

He was one of dad's dearest friends. They were colleagues at one time, but he became a great family friend. I was just a teenager when I met him, but he was part of a great group of men that my dad held in high regard. He sold me my first motorcycle, a Canadian Honda with kilometers on the speedometer. I helped him move into a fancy apartment in Pasadena when I was 15 and he paid me a couple hundred bucks, which felt like a thousand. He came to my dad's funeral, and he gave me one of the funniest photos of my dad that exists, which was his favorite. He was a good man, and my heart swells with only great memories of him. To his family, I wish you peace in what I know is a difficult time. Please know that Grant had a wonderful impact on our lives, and we will miss him dearly.

Our deepest condolences go to the Ledingham family. We, Chris and I, met Grant, Clark and Anne when we shared a few glorious years together in Pasadena. We bonded as fellow Canadians, fellow class mates and shared many interests. Whether working together at the Auditorium many a late night, or taking our motorcycles up the curvy mountain highway, Grant was always an energetic force. Grant possessed true leadership qualities and infused passion into all he lent his hand to. Grant will be missed, good bye to an outstanding Canuck.
