Grant "Resyd" McDougall

Grant "Resyd" McDougall, 36, of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away on November 29, 2023, in Phoenix . Grant was born on January 17, 1987, in Phoenix, to Rachel Roth and John Hobbie, and then adopted at 3 days of age by Sue & John McDougall. From the age of 5, he has been raised, loved and supported by Mom Sue and Step-Dad Dennis Harrison, who survive him. He is also survived by his loving sister, Tiffany Harrison.

Grant, known to his DOF Crew and other street artists as "Resyd", was an artistic and personable individual with an inquiring mind and a soft heart for dogs, cats, and especially ferrets. He possessed a great intellect and had a passion for art and playing Magic the Gathering. His talent and creativity were evident, which left a lasting impression on anyone who saw his work .

Grant attended Shadow Mountain High School, and then worked in power washing for new construction homes, and later in the food service industry. Grant's friendly personality and good manners were admired by his coworkers and clients alike.

In memory of Grant, his family kindly requests that donations be made to a no-kill animal shelter. Grant had a deep love for animals, and supporting animal welfare would be a meaningful way to honor his memory.

The compassionate staff at Samaritan Funeral Home in Phoenix, Arizona, is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Grant will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. May his soul now find rest and peace at last.
