Gregorio Renteria Obituary
Greg served in the U.S. Army, 1st Calvary Division in Korea, and dedicated six years to his military service. Following his military career, he worked for the Southern California Gas Company for 49 years, serving as a Shift Supervisor and Maintenance Supervisor. Greg was a dedicated employee, overseeing operations in various gas storage fields and the POPCO gas processing plant.
He was an intelligent, hardworking, honest, gentle, loving, and charismatic man. Greg excelled in sports during his high school years at Simi Valley High School, where he held several records in football. He enjoyed golf in his thirties and forties, and was a loyal USC Trojans and Raiders fan. Greg also loved spending time with his grandchildren, sharing his passion for sports and imparting his industry knowledge on those that were eager to learn.
A ceremony to honor Greg's life will be held on April 26, 2024, at 11:00 am at Reardon Simi Valley Funeral Home, followed by a 1:00 pm burial with Military Honors at Oakwood Memorial Park and Cemetery in Chatsworth, CA. He was a man of strong faith, which guided him through life's challenges.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the ASPCA in memory of Greg Renteria.
