Gregory R. Bylo Devoted to his family, enjoyed fishing and kayaking Gregory R. Bylo passed away on Tuesday, July 31, 2018. He was 60 years old. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Aug. 4, at 1 p.m., at St. Philomena Church, 386 South Livingston Ave., Livingston, N.J. The family will receive friends and relatives at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 145 East Mount Pleasant Ave., Livingston, N.J., today, Friday, Aug. 3, from 4 to 8 p.m., and Saturday, Aug. 4, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Born in Norwalk, Conn., Greg attended The University of Connecticut and received a degree in mechanical engineering and material science. He was the vice president of healthcare at GS1 US in Lawrenceville, N.J. Previously, he was an engineer at Smith and Wesson, manager of quality assurance for Kearfott Guidance and Navigation, and director of supply chain for BD. Greg was an active parishioner at St. Philomena Church as a Eucharistic minister, Pre-Cana team member, and served Aquinas Academy on the parent guild. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Our Lady of the Mountain Council 3533. Greg was an avid fisherman and kayaker. He had a passion for the ocean, especially Barnegat Light. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Marianne (nee Goeckel); devoted daughter, Justine; son-in-law, Dale Short; mother, Roberta Monte; and brothers, Christopher Bylo, Rick Rogers (Jennifer), Robert Bylo (Carrie), and David Bylo. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Frank Goeckel (Julie); sisters-in-law, Susan Goeckel (the late Robert P.) and Carolyn Goeckel; and many loving nieces and nephews.
