The Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Gregory Gerard ("Greg") Childs will be Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 11:30 AM in the chapel of the Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home. Minister Ted Brown will officiate. Burial will be in the Fairview Memorial Gardens, 164 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, Georgia.
Greg was born March 19, 1967 and was the son of Bobbie Lee and Lula Childs. He graduated from LaGrange High School and was previously employed with Milliken and Company and Carter's Inc.
In addition to his parents, Greg leaves to cherish his memory, his brothers: Gary, Robert, Kenneth and Joseph (Jennifer) Childs; his sisters, Wanda Brown (Ted), Deborah, Elizabeth, Amy and Betty Childs; nephews: Joseph Jr., Jayland Fowler; nieces: Imani Childs and Jasmine Sweeting; great nephew, Zacharia Childs; aunts; Mrs. Lillie Simpson (Rev. Reuben), Virginia Fanning, Beverly Childs, Anna Childs, Priscilla Childs; uncles: Glover Childs and Louis Childs; many cousin, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Steve Childs Sr. and Leola Magby Childs; maternal grandparents: Thomas Lofton Sr. and Luella Lofton; uncles: Willie Frank Childs, Steve Childs Jr., Leon Child, Melvin Childs Sr.; aunts: Ruby, Carrie and Emma Lofton; uncle, Thomas Lofton, Jr.
