Gregory Duncan Obituary
Gregory Joseph Duncan, age 56, died at home in San Marcos, Texas on the 6th of October 2011. Greg served with both the United States Army and the Air Force Reserves for more than 25 years. During his extensive military career, he participated in Desert Storm, Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. During his free time, he enjoyed working on his home, being outdoors and never turned down a cold beer or a glass of vodka on the rocks. Greg is survived by his parents, Norman E. Duncan and Louise F. Gelly; his children, Lucas and Elisabeth Duncan; his brothers, Mark Duncan and his wife, Jill, Peter Duncan and Michael Duncan; his sisters, Laura Colburn and her husband, John, Mary Duncan-Harrison and her husband, Henry; and Catherine Neneman and her husband, Mark. Greg is also survived by his long time girlfriend, Mamie Crum. Friends are cordially invited to a visitation and reception with the family from four o'clock in the afternoon until seven o'clock in the evening on Wednesday, the 12th of October, in the Jasek Chapel and Grand Foyer of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston. The recitation of the Holy Rosary is to commence at seven o'clock in the evening. The Mass of Christian Burial is to be offered at one o'clock in the afternoon on Thursday, the 13th of October, at St. Anne Catholic Church, 2140 Westheimer Road in Houston.

I had the pleasure of working with Greg in the 924th at Bergstrom AFB. I can still remember Greg’s smile when I would visit his shop. You are all in my prayers during this very sad time.

I worked with Greg in the reserve unit at Bergstrom AFB. I lost contact with him when the unit was closed and we went on different paths. Greg was always a good heart person that would give you the shirt off his back. I wish I would not have lost contact with him over the past 15 years. I remember the time that he wrote a letter to the editor of the statesman and it was published. I am sorry for the loss his family are feeling at this time. Looking at the pictures I assume are his son and daughter they were much younger the last time I saw them at there home in north Austin must have been 1993
