Gregory Elliott Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 26, 2011.
ELLIOTT, Gregory Garnet Oct. 7, 1952 - Jan. 23, 2011 Garnet passed away peacefully January 23, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, with family by his side. Predeceased by his father, Glenn Elliott, Garnet, a proud father and grandfather, will be sorely missed by his son Jesse (Hawaii), daughter Meagan (Ryan, Little Ryan, Dylan) and grand daughter Briana, (California), by his mother Elaine Elliott (Calgary), sister Glenna (Mike) (CT), and sister Pati (Alan, JJ, Kristie, Trina) (Calgary), his nephews Scott (Salma) (California) and Elliott (Mikala, Rowyn, Ethan) (Calgary) and his second family Danny, Linda, Jimmy and Jake Latin (Kamloops) as well as many relatives and close friends. We would like to thank our family and close friends for their unwavering support over the last two years. We would also like to thank the nurses and staff at the Saanich Peninsula Hospital for providing Garnet and family both compassion and support during his stay in palliative care. As a very close friend describes him, "Garnet was a special person and nothing was out of the question. His kindness, willingness to help and do the extra for people was second to none." A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Garnet's name may be made to Saanich Peninsula Hospital Foundation, Mount Newton X Road, Saanichton BC, V8M2B2 or to a charity of your choice.
