Prescott, AZ - Phoenix, AZ

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Gregory (Greg) Watkins, who peacefully departed this life on March 22, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was 77 years old.

Greg was born on January 2, 1947, in Lansing, MI, to Oscar and Frances Watkins. In 1959, Greg's family relocated to Arizona. Greg was a proud alumnus of Camelback High School and ASU. He was a devoted family man and a proud Catholic. Greg was also a proud Patriot, serving in the United States Army National Guard. He was a loving husband to Barbara, with whom he shared over 30 years of unwavering companionship, friendship, and love. Greg adored his beautiful, blended family and will be deeply missed by his children: Eric (Nicole), Todd, Darcy (Mike), Abby (Nick); his grandchildren: Michael, Janae, Braden, Mia, Eleanore, Talan, Makenna, Nylah, Davis; his nieces, nephews, and all those who had the privilege of knowing him. He was a pillar of strength and wisdom, always offering guidance, support, and unconditional love to his family and friends. Greg is survived by his sisters Joyce Haver, Kathy Feeney (Pat), Paula Quan, and Pam Rowland.

In addition to his dedication to family and country, Greg had many interests and passions. He was an avid golfer and a sports enthusiast. His zest for life was contagious. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, integrity, and selflessness that will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him.

A funeral service to honor and celebrate Greg's life will be held at Franciscan Renewal Center at 5802 Lincoln Drive, Scottsdale, AZ 85253, on April 23 at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation or First Tee, in honor of Greg's memory.

Greg touched the lives of so many and will be fondly remembered for his unwavering dedication, his gentle spirit, and his profound love for his family and country. May his soul rest in eternal peace.

More trade shows and industry conferences and customer dinners than can count with Greg. And golf events. One time Greg and two other sharpshooters were stuck with a duffer like me as their fourth at an industry golf event at La Costa. On one of the fairways I was chased, and stung, by a bee. Although it hurt like hell I assured my golf mates that I was not allergic. Greg said, "That´s good, Jimmy, because I have NO intention of giving you mouth-to-mouth." He then offered me a Bacardi and Diet Coke to soothe the pain. No lips touched. Miss you Greg. Jim Josway

A mentor, confidant, leader and most importantly a friend. I met Greg back in 1994 in San Francisco during a pharma trade show which began a very special friendship. I will miss our conversations about sports, politics and life. We lost a very special person. My condolences to Barb, Eric, Todd, Darcy and the entire family. God Bless.
