My deepest sympathies to Greg's family & friends. I remember he was a part of the Riverwood/Montrose/Otis crew & heard through the grapevine that he grew up to become a great man. He will be missed by all who knew him.

I met Greg about 2 months ago. My friend lives below Kevin. Although I didn't know him very well, I feel that our connection was very real. I have never met a guy that I've felt instantaneously comfortable with. He was the kind of person that kept you wanting more. His personality was addictive, and as much as I never wanted to be called 'dude,' I grew fond of it. I just want everyone to know that he was the kind of person that made an impression on my life, even if I knew him for merely days.Tonight, I went and visited my friend. She told me about Greg's passing, and I realized that the last time I had spoken to Greg was in that exact room. I just wish that I had more time with the guy, and at the same time, I'm so lucky that I was able to even know him. Thanks for Spanglish, Dude.

I went to STA with Greg. I'll always remember his easy-going demeanor. He was a tall, skinny, care-free character who was always ready for fun and inevitably left people smiling and laughing. We'll all miss him.

I was sad to hear this news. My sympathies to the Heinz family and friends. I remember critiquing 5th grade English assignments with Greg, playing 4-square on the playground, and a host of other grade school memories. May you find much peace at this time.

Heinz Family,
So many special responses from so many who knew Greg. It just goes to show what a great and special kid he was. I say kid even though he had become a man in his own right because I think of him fondly from our canoe trips when he was just a little guy. My thoughts and prayers are with you and yours in the days to come. Hang in there.
God Bless,
Aimee Whitmore (Langevin)

My deepest condolences to Greg’s family and friends in this time of loss. I can only wish that in these days you find that the memories of laughter, fun and all out hilarity that Greg gave you is enough to see you through. That you can find yourself toasting a young man who was a rock to lean upon with stories of joy amidst the feelings that you’re having right now. Its so hard to be told you have to say goodbye to someone who has been by your side for so long.
Take from your times together lessons of friendship and count yourselves so lucky to have been apart of his life. In the months to come, the memories will come easier and the times you shared so much more meaningful. Find that thing about him that made him so precious to you and hold on to it; make it part of yourself.
I think I can speak for my friends in saying that Greg was truly a stand-up guy and proved himself many times over without the need to do so. He made many memories amongst us so much more and we share in his loss. We also will find that which made him so precious and hold on to it.
Myself? I’ll always remember his concern and dedication to you. He defined himself by being a great son, brother and friend to all of you. He cared deeply about you whether you know it or not. I will always remember him for that quality which you all share.
That and the dancing. The guy was never afraid to get his groove on.
Be at peace, Greg. We will miss and treasure you. Say hi to Pat for us. We'll be toasting your names until we see you again.

I knew Greg best at the beginning of his life...but every time our paths crossed as adults he made it seem like no time had passed. He still had that same charming smile and the childhood spirit I remembered was still present. I was blessed to know him. To all of Greg's family and friends-words cannot describe how sorry I am. My thoughts and my love are with you always.

Greg
Thank you for all of the great memories. Our group of friends has been together for so many years; it seems like yesterday we were at St. Marks playing in a basketball tournament, or celebrating at davanni's's after a baseball game. You meant so much to so many people. You will truly be missed. You and your family are in my prayers. With love.

To Greg's many Friends and Family: my thoughts and deepest sympathies go out to you.
Greg, for all of the ways you made my life better, and there are many ways, I am very thankful. All that you have done for me and those around me, especially Jody, will never be forgotten and will always be appreciated. You brought joy to everyone that was graced with your presence - it was natural for you. The happiness you brought into so many hearts will last forever and will keep those that love you strong. There were a number of common threads that made us friends, music being one of the thickest – we will play again. God bless you and everyone that is coping right now.

I never got the opportunity to spend much time with Greg, yet in the moments we shared he always treated me, and all of Caitlin's friends, like family. What i did get to experience of Greg was his love for Caitlin. He openly solicited the fact that he would do anything for her, be that giving a boy a stearn talking to, or showing her how to have a good time. I can only aspire to be there for her in all the ways her brother was. Greg can be assured that no harm will come to Caitlin, for we will assume his watchful position and take care of our sister. Joe, Peg, Kevin, you have been a family to me. I wish you every comfort in the world to ease your unimaginable pain. I love you Cait, just as Greg was their glue, you are ours.

Greggy - I know you know how much you are loved and missed. I don't even know how to think right now - if you can believe that. I remember the conversation we had a few months ago about friends drifting apart, and you looked at me and said that would never happen with us - it was not an opinion it was a fact. Now I know that it was because you would never let that happen. You were the most loyal friend to us all, Good times "Livin the good life" - from Highschool, Montana, 7 Villard, West St Paul Homies! I will do whatever I can for you, help watch over your family - whom I wish my every condolence. I love you and miss you - you are a best friend in my heart forever.
