I am remembering the happy times especially near the end at Easter time...in the backyard all together in peace and at the Theater enjoying the Easter bunny character of Greg.....blessings of peace and comfort to all and to Greg...

Dear Greg (Daddy),

I've waited until today to write something to you, I haven't been able to think straight without you, I miss you more then words can ever express! My muscles ache, my heart aches, my soul aches with the longing and missing of you. I walk in slow motion and utter disbelief, that this is our NEW LIFE, without you.
I remember agreeing to have Zonie and Nevie with you, because of you, because of the love we had together. I remember thinking back to the fall of 2002, when you told me how much you have always wanted kids and I thought, what a better way to bring children into the world then with two people that loved each other so incredibly and I knew it right! I wanted the girls to see our love, witness our love. I can't believe I don't get to raise them with you! If and when I have moments of clarity, I will try and remind them of the essence of you, their daddy....
the simpleness of life, the fact that so many things we think matter really don't, your enormous and rare love for your sister Jess, your love and dedication for your parents, your love of hunting and the quiet peace you told me you got when sitting in the woods, your laughter, your smile, your tight hugs and your ability to let time stand still while you enjoyed the moment....
March 27th, I LOVED being Cinderella with you, while you were Spiderman, I remember thinking, we would grow old and talk about this wild experience we shared together. You would of done anything with me...I LOVED you so much for that!
March 28th, I loved watching by the shoreline as you canoed with Sethan, Zone and Neve around the lake. I never would of guessed how truly special that moment was!
Thank you for being our Easter Bunny on April 3rd and the incredible Easter we had together on April 4th, cooking Easter dinner with me, Easter egg hunting with the girls in the back yard and the white roses you gave me. Do you remember how my face lit up! <3 That was a perfect day with you and the girls. I will cherish how on April 9th you said, "I really hope you get the house". April 10th, you came to visit us at the theatre and I told you about all the fun the girls were having, watching the magician perform there. I will always cherish those last moments and all our moments, all the days of my life..I promise to be a good mommy to our girls, thank you for them, the best gifts you could ever give me...you are ALWAYS their daddy! I love you.

thinking of you again today; everyday; as I was walking and remembering my last day with you; the look on your face, your words and remembering you walking with me and Nev after the Easter party and you played the Bunny and fooled Nev--she didn't know it was you and you were pleased; we crossed the road together--may we cross more roads in the world to come--love you--Vera--Montrose, Pa.

To Jennifer, Arizona, Nevada, Ilona, and the Luce's.
I wish I had stuck around Montrose longer and had a chance to know Greg better. I'll always remember his smile and know that he meant the world to many. Big hearted people are a rarity these days, and his memory and legacy will live on in the hearts of all of us.
Someday we'll play cards again, my friend......

I would like to say thank you to everyone who has called, written and prayed for me and my family. He was the best friend I've ever had in my life, and he was a a great friend to many people. I am going to miss him more than I can even comprehend right now, and I can't imagine living the rest of my life without him. His beautiful smile and infectious laugh lives on in my memories. I spent the entire last day of his life with him, we drank, we ate, we sang, we laughed, we talked about old times, and we told each other that we loved each other. If that had to be his last day, I'm glad it was the way it was. God bless him and the great man that he was. My heart goes out to everyone who knew and loved him, because I know your pain.

There are no words to describe the pain I feel inside. He may have been a cousin, but he was a great cousin. More like a brother to me in many ways. Him and Jim pushed my very first deer to me! I don't know what else to say, but I wish I could be with all of you right now. I am so very sorry for everyone's pain and know that he will be missed forever.

April 13, 2010

Andy, Carol, Jim, and Jess - I'm so very sorry for your loss. It seems like just yesterday that I saw Greg and we were discussing football. The death of someone so young is so tragic and unnecessary. Know that your son and brother is in my thoughts and my prayers. Go Vikes!

Words cannot describe the pain I know this family is in. Greg was a great person with charm on his side. A smile from him would just bring joy into your heart. I can remember the first time I met Greg. Just a young boy with blue eyes and curly hair. Happy go lucky he was. We used to go fishing over to Gow's pond for the whole day. Those were some of the best times ever growing up and Im glad I was fortunate to meet such a wonderful person as him. My deepest sympathies goes out to Andy, Carol, Jessica, Ilona, Arizona, Nevada, and the whole Luce clan. Greg, we love you and may you rest in peace. God Bless.
