Gregory Robert Torres "Stump" passed away peacefully at Presence St. Joseph's on Thursday, Sept. 21, 2017 after a brief illness, his parents announce with great sorrow and heavy hearts. They were by his side.

Greg was born August 16, 1972 at St. Joe's. He graduated from Joliet Central in 1990. Attended JJC Culinary Arts program. He enjoyed working as a cook, but his true passion was music. He played in various bands, often jamming with his good friend, Jim Vallera.

Survived by his parents, Robert Torres and Connie Martinez; devoted fianc e, Tamara Bridgeman; paternal grandfather, Manuel Torres; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Preceded in death by his grandmothers, Julia Torres and Beatriz Rocha.

Stump was a very good natured person who made friends easily. He loved heavy metal, the Cubs, Blackhawks and the Dallas Cowboys. He was also a talented painter.

Services were held and cremation rites accorded, Sunday, Sept. 24th at Tezak.

We have lost a beautiful soul who will truly be missed. "Good night, Sweet Prince."

Miss ya Greg, can still hear u say hey Jimmy! Like it was yesterday. Life changes these days all the time but I forever and always will remember the good ol days which I treasure. We will hang out again and share a few Buschh lights on the other side my friend.
