Funeral for Greta Ann Patterson Stanford, 70, of Athens will be today, Feb. 16, 2006, at 11 a.m. at Spry Funeral Home Chapel with James Bridges and Jade Keeton officiating.
Burial will be in Limestone Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Stanford died Monday, Feb. 13, 2006, at Crestwood Medical Center. She retired from Federal Mogul. She was a member of Coxey Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Raymond and Vona Patterson; her husband, J.C. Stanford; brothers, Arvel Patterson and Lenice Patterson; and sisters, Faye Camp and Verta Mae Combs.
Survivors include four sons, James Randy Stanford and his wife, Vicki, and Barry Lynn Stanford and his wife, Diane, all of Athens, Donnie Ray Stanford and his wife, Daveen, of Elkmont, and Todd Roger Stanford and his wife, Tasha, of Athens; one daughter, Belinda Cottles and her husband, Ronnie, of Athens; her special companion of 18 years, Marvin Kyle of Athens; one sister, Shirley Sandlin of Decatur; grandchildren, Jonathan Sledge, Taylor Shores, Jami Tennison and her husband, Derek, Amanda Hulsey and her husband, David, Lucas Stanford, Clint Stanford, Matthew Stanford and his wife, Jan, Trey Stanford, Jenna Strickland, Joy Stanford, Alex Stanford, Subrina Harmon, and Michael Cottles and his wife, Gale; and great-grandchildren, Alana Tennison, Garrett Tennison, Grayson Sledge, Daylan Stanford, Shelby Harmon, Ronnie Lyn Harmon, Alesa Cox, Corey Cottles and Tyler Cottles.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Carter, Allen Camp, Jerry Patterson, Jimmy Sandlin, Jerry Garner, Joe Sandlin, Larry Patterson and Terry Patterson.
Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons.
