Guadalupe Richardson Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 22, 2025.
Guadalupe Richardson passed away on May 17, 2025, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 65. Born on January 15, 1960, in Forest Park, Oklahoma, Guadalupe lived a full and meaningful life marked by faith, strength, and unwavering devotion to his family.

A man of quiet dignity and deep conviction, Guadalupe's journey took him far beyond his Oklahoma roots. A true traveler at heart, he spent time living across the United States-including Texas, Virginia, Washington D.C., Maryland, and New York-as well as in Mexico. No matter where life led him, he carried with him a steadfast sense of purpose and an enduring connection to home.

Guadalupe was a 32nd Degree Freemason who embodied the values of wisdom, discipline, and integrity. Known for his resourcefulness and skill with his hands, he approached life with a practical mind and a generous spirit. Though reserved by nature, those who knew him recognized his loyalty and quiet strength. He was a talented artist and athlete who took pride in staying fit throughout his life.

Family was central to Guadalupe's world. He deeply admired his father Luther and held close the memory of his mother Rozelia. He shared strong bonds with his brothers and sisters and extended that same love to the families he built throughout his life. Guadalupe was married to Shelly Richardson for 20 years before later marrying Kayla Richardson, with whom he shared over a decade of companionship.

He was a devoted father to five adult children; Corian, Deangelo, Guadalupe Jr., Brandon, and Eboni-and played an important role in raising his stepson Adam. His legacy continues through his grandchildren.

Guadalupe's faith was the cornerstone of his life. A God-fearing man whose actions spoke louder than words. His presence brought comfort to those around him-whether through small acts of kindness or steadfast support during difficult times.

Though his earthly journey has ended, Guadalupe's spirit remains ever-present in the hearts of those who loved him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all whose lives he touched.

May his memory bring peace to those who mourn him and strength to those who carry on in his name. Rest in Peace Lupe aka Big Red.

Yesterday

Forgot to mention he was part of the Cherokee Nation and a proud college graduate.
I wish we had more time so I can speak to him again. Now I just cherish the days.
