Guillermo Lopez Jr. Obituary
Bill was born and raised in Mesa, AZ on July 12, 1940, to Guillermo Lopez and Virginia Garcia he was the only boy of 3 sisters. He was a graduate from Mesa High School Class of 1960. Bill was a member of The church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served a mission to Central America, traveling to Costa Rica, Nicaragua, El Salvador and Guatemala. He served in the National Guard. He was later honored to give his sister the first kidney transplant in AZ when she needed one and he was a match. He went on to marry Gloria Estrada a close childhood family friend and they had three children. He was a Mason contractor and took pride in his craft. He was forever noticeable around town in his Yellow Dodge truck. He spent hours tinkering on it through the years. He will be remembered as a gentle quiet man who was always there whenever you needed him. He is survived by his wife Gloria, sister Juliet, daughters April Williams (Dave), Shelley Aanes(Eric) and grandkids Sophie and Graham and predeceased by his son Christopher.
Services will be held on October 19, 2024, 11am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Barkley Ward 1455 N. Harris, Mesa, AZ 85203
Interred at Mesa Cemetery.
