Our family will miss Gus so much. He was a wonderful man and raised a wonderful caring family. He seemed part of our family, too. My thoughts are with the family, know that you have an angel watching out for you because I'm sure Gus already earned his wings on Earth.

One of my first jobs as a teenager was working at G&D. Gus and the whole family treated me like family the whole time. To this day I walk in the door and they recognize me. Hard to find another place that cares so much about the service they provide and the wonderful meals but also the family atmosphere. Gus you were a wonderful man and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew you.Guess our lord wanted the best steak in the world so he brought Gus home. Prayers to everyone .

Me and my family enjoyed so many good meal at G&D's and always enjoyed see your friendly face. G&D's is my favorite restaurant in Columbia. Your family is in my prayers.

It pains my heart to hear of his passing. One of the nicest gentlemen I've ever known. I visited the restaurant often with my grandparents and he knew all of us by name. I recall one time when I was probably about 5 or 6 years old that he gave me the cap right off his head because I commented that it was a really cool hat. One of my fondest memories of someone sharing and giving even 35 years later.

I am so sorry to hear of Gus's passing. What a wonderful gentleman. I live in Wyoming now but I sure enjoyed coming in the restaurant and seeing him there.

So sorry to hear this. Papa Gus was a great and gentle man. He is drinking coffee with my dad now, Jim Logsdon. Thinking about you all and sending prayers!
