Guy Bowen, of Mt. Morris, age 91, passed away Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Genesys Health Park. Cremation has taken place. A Committal Service, with Military Honors, will be held 1 PM Wednesday, November 20, 2013 for Guy
and Delores Bowen at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd., Holly. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital. Guy was born in North Little Rock, AK on September 27, 1922, son of the late Abraham and Nannie (Key) Bowen. He married Delores Smith on December 11, 1948 and she preceded him in death August 25, 2012. Guy proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He retired from GM after 20 years of service. Guy is survived by his children, Nancy (Robert) Purdy, Rick (Jennifer) Bowen; grandchildren, Bryon Perry, Dawn Brandon, Eric Bowen; great-grandchildren, Garrett Brandon, Paige Brandon, Carsen Perry, Sloan Perry; sisters, Mary (John) Affolter, Patsy Hubbard. He was preceded in death by brothers, Horace and Woodrow Bowen; sister, Eulah Yates and Virginia White. Please share your thoughts with the family at www.allenfuneralhomeinc.com
