I just found out today about Gwen's passing. She was my darling manicurist for years before her tragic battle with cancer. We had such fun together; she was strong willed and confident, spirited and honest, I thought the world of her, and loved hearing her stories! My deepest sympathies to Timm, Bryn and family.

I wanted to make it to the memorial but couldn't. I knew Gwen when I was in grade school and she was in high school. I can remember thinking that was what I wanted to be like in high school. Beautiful, inside and out. She made the people around her better. I can remember thinking, I cant believe she's hanging out with us(my sibling's and I) without my older brother!? She would take me to softball practices and let us come swim at her house. The best was the Christmas present she gave me one year, a miniskirt and 2 pair of socks, when wearing 2 pairs of socks on the same foot was cool. I don't think she ever knew how much that meant to me. I am truly sorry for your loss. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Gwen and I have been friends for many years. Our daughters went to school together in their younger years at USM. After moving to Denver many years ago, we still managed to stay in contact as if I never left. She will always be remembered as a great friend and she will be truly missed. We had a lot of great times together and great phone conversations through the years. My heart goes out to Tim and Bryn and her family. Rest in peace my friend. God Bless Love, Renee Johnson Denver, Colorado

Gwen was a friend you could count on at all times, not just the good. She gave me strength and perspective through some particularly difficult times of my life. She would laugh with you and cry with you and she was always there.
The photo I posted of her was taken on our trip to Paris, what seems like a life time ago. Happy and healthy. That is the Gwen who will live on in my memories and my heart. I love you, Gwen, and will miss you deeply.
Timm, Bryn and the entire Bierman family, my sincerest sympathy. Gwen will live on in the thoughts of the many people she touched.
Gwen, my friend.

I grew up with Gwen and Amy in the neighborhood and have many fond childhood memories. I joined the service and left the area right after high school and haven't had any contact since unfortunately. Learning that she battled cancer resonates with me very personally as I am a cancer survivor myself. My memories of Gwen I can imagine she fought the absolute best fight she could and never gave up. I will remember to honor her and her fight at the next Relay for Life event here in Atlanta, GA. God Bless

I was Bryn's baby sitter from the time she was a baby until right before Gwen became sick and my family lives across the street from the Biermans, who are amazing, wonderful people. Gwen was an incredibly strong woman whom I have many, many happy memories of. Stay strong, Timm and sweet Bryn. Sending all my love.

I grew up with Gwen and Amy from the time I was in 4th grade until I left home after high school. I lived on the same street as they did and I can't even begin to count all the great times we had, playing outside for hours, swimming in their pool, having slumber parties. I hadn't seen Gwen in many years but I will always have very fond memories of times we spent together. I am so sorry for your loss, Timm, Bryn, Amy, Georgianne and Glen, and all her family and friends. I hope you find peace in knowing you will see her again and she is home. Love you.

I was a client of Gwen many years ago when she was on Silver Spring in Glendale. I loved her spunk, her sense of style, her attention to detail and perfection. I admired her drive to win at Cancer. She did win. She lived her journey with grace and honor. Know that she will be with everyone at the wake and funeral. Talk to her, she will hear.

I was Bryn's math teacher in sixth grade and one of her greatest fans as a "Medieval jester". Gwen was always there to support and cheer on Bryn! What a wonderful mom she is. Gwen fought a courageous battle against this unforgiving disease. May God hold her in the palm of His hand.

As one of Bryn's teachers, I saw how much love you had for her. At the end of every day, you would be happily waiting to pick her up. As soon as you saw each other, both your faces would light up. You are a special mom, wife and friend.

I live just 3 miles away, but Gwen's active life and my busy schedule never gave much room for us to get together. But the times we were together, I will cherish forever! She was such a warm and caring person, smart, funny, and a fighter! She had so much courage and I am sorry someone like her had to endure cancer. I am thankful to have known her.
I send my love to the family.
