John and I were buds back in our teens. He lived in the neighborhood and was part of the local gang that consisted of David Matterson, Jimmy Willard, Rich Lafontaine and Russell Philbrick. After I was discharged from the hospital for the wounds I received in Vietnam, John and I commuted to Ft Devens together for a month or so while I waited for my discharge from the Army. That was the last time I ever spent time with John. I went off to college. John had already gotten married and was on his way to create his own life.
John was one of the finest young men I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I wish I had the opportunity to have known him as an adult.
My most sincere condolences to all of his family and friends.

We were luck enough to share some time with John both in his expert craft of cabinetry and in family get-togethers. He was a good man and a pleasure to be with. Our sympathy to all John's family and friends.
