TIBBLE , H. Frank October 7, 1921 - March 25, 2009 Frank Tibble passed away peacefully at the Beverly Centre on Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at the age of 87, just two days after his sixty-third wedding anniversary. Frank was born in Moose Jaw, SK on October 7, 1921 to Grace and Herbert Tibble. He was a proud veteran of WWII who served as an RAF Bomber Pilot - Squadron 172 out of Devon, England and later, off Gibraltar. His dedication to the cause of the air force continued throughout his life and he was always ready with a war story to anyone who would listen. He was an active member of the Air Crew Association, and wrote their news letter for five years which has become legendary. Frank met and married Mary Mison in Edmonton and they raised their family in Calgary. He is survived by his loving wife Mary; sons, David Tibble (Alison) and Terry Tibble; and daughter Barbara Lamoureux. He treasured his grandchildren, Erin, Corey (Kim), Heather (John), Kent (Jacqueline) and Brett (Crystal); and his precious great-granddaughters, Macie, Kyra and Mary. He was predeceased by his parents and only brother Ken. Frank will be remembered for his ever present wit and keen mind full of amazing stories that kept many entertained over the years. The family is grateful for the wonderful care he received at the Beverly Centre where his last year was spent happily with new friends. A celebration of Frank's life will be held at a later date. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com . If friends so desire, donations can be made to the Aerospace Museum Association of Calgary, 4629 McCall Way N.E., Calgary, AB T2E 8A5. Mary & Family
I met Frank through the Linkages program at school. During my visits with him I was ever so moved by his stories of the war which I will always remember. He also talked a lot of his family and told me how proud he was of you all and how much he loved you. I wish I would have met him sooner. It was a privilege to have met him. I am very sorry for your loss and I hope you find peace in knowing he is with God.
I also want to share a saying which was sent to my family when my grandfather passed away a 2 years ago.

Rather than Mourn the Absence of the Flame, Let us Celebrate how Brightly it Glowed.
