Hailey Watson Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 8, 2025.
Hailey Lynn Watson was born November 17, 1986, to Melva Lee Weikle and John Michael Watson in Houston, Texas. Hailey had three sisters, Kelly, Melany, and Maggey, and one brother Johnny. She attended Owen's Elementary, Labay Junior High, and graduated in 2005 from Cypress Falls High School. Hailey was a champion swimmer on the Hearthstone swim team and loved music, dancing, drawing, and cosmetology. She was 12 years old when she was baptized in 1998 at Bear Creek Baptist Church in Houston, Texas. Hailey loved the Lord and would often draw angels as a little girl and she would share her favorite scriptures with her family and friends throughout her life. She loved Christmas and Easter seasons and always attended Sugarland Baptist Church with her mother as a family tradition during the holidays.

Hailey will forever be remembered for the passionate love she had for her family. Her first child, a son, Johnny Michael Watson was born on July 28, 2024 and he was the light of her life. Hailey entered a new season full of happiness and joy and she was a wonderful mother. She enjoyed sharing her son and the love she had for him with her parents and sisters and she was expecting her second child in November. To those who knew her, there will never be a bigger or more loving heart than Hailey's, full of compassion, forgiveness, and true love for others.

She loved many Bible verses and one of her favorites to share was, "Again therefore Jesus spoke to them, saying, "I am the light of the world; he that follows me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life." John 8:12

Hailey is survived by her 9 month old son Johnny Michael Watson along with her parents Melva Lee Weikle, John and wife Daniella Watson, three sisters Kelly Songer and husband Joshua, Melany Michelle Watson, Maggey Ruth Belle DeLaughter, grandmother Sue Watson, nephews William and George Songer and Kayden Watson, niece Frankie Watson, and countless friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved brother John (Johnny) Michael Watson, II, whom she named her son after, grandparents Lester Dale and Ruth Weikle, and James Lamar Watson.

My condolences to the family!

I never met Hailey but knew her thru her mommy talking always sweet love about her Hailey. I was so proud when I heard Hailey had a bouncing baby boy named after her late brother, Johnny! Her love for Baby Johnny was expressed all over her face!
The angels rejoiced when Hailey entered the heavenly gates for they knew the love she shared here on earth with a family that loved her beyond measure.
Hailey will always be remembered and missed.
She´s at peace, resting in the arms of Jesus being serenaded by angels. What a gift God has given, eternal salvation. To all who reads this, "Let Me Tell You About My JESUS"
Do you know him! Hailey did! Praise God!

My love,
Pat Cobb
