Hal Glenewinkel was released from this world to return to Heaven on Wednesday, July 17th, 2024, as he truly was a gift from God.

Hal was born May 29th 1943 in San Antonio Tx. to Hiles G. And Alene Ruth (Lyons)Glenewinkel.

Graduating from Flour Bluff High School in 1962 he attended Del Mar College and apprenticed as a cabinet maker before acquiring a contracting position at Corpus Christi Naval Air Base maintaining helicopters for the Vietnam War. He then began a 32 year tenure at DuPont in Ingleside, working his way up to supervisor. After retiring from plant work, he returned to his passions of farming and ranching. He loved to hunt and fish and reveled in watching his vegetables, animals, and family grow. He was very loved and will surely be missed.

He was preceeded in death by his mother and father, brother Ross Glenewinkel, sister Sue Lotman, and nieces Kristen Lindabury and Stacy Gaecke. He leaves behind his wife of 43 yrs, Jill P. Glenewinkel, sister Ruth (John) Lindabury, daughters Lisa (Vic) Everett, Jennifer Janecek Garza (David), Crystal Glenewinkel, and one son, Jason (Brittney)Glenewinkel. Grandchildren Victor Everett, Leia Toth, Victoria Hardin, Alex McNew, Madelyn Garza, Allison Galvez, Nicolle Glenewinkel, Kaylee Glenewinkel and Brooklyn Hutto. Nephews Randy Glenewinkel, Russell Glenewinkel, and Jeremy Lindabury. Nieces Kimberlee Reed and Amy Currans. Twelve Great grandchildren, and numerous great nieces and nephews.

A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
