Auntie Hannah, my great-aunt, my father's father's sister, was like a bonus grandmother to me and my siblings, Karrie, Lisa, Kevin, and Erin. A staple at every single holiday and party, and always with a smile, the kindest words, a twinkle in her eye, and a wee joke nestled in between the compliments she so freely gave. As a kid, I thought Auntie Hannah was elegant, beautiful, and so very kind. Being in her presence was a luxury, and being in her home, even more so. As I grew into a mother myself, I realized she was so much more. A courageous woman who crossed an ocean seeking opportunity for her family, and Uncle Pat's business partner, growing their business and family, three boys, and a girl. She must have worked very hard, but she made it look easy! She was made of love, and shared love in a way that always made me feel like a million bucks. There's nowhere else she can be than on the softest cloud in heaven with Uncle Pat, Mary Pat, Michael Joe, my Grandpa Rohan, her own parents, and her other friends and family who passed before her. Keep us safe down here Auntie Hannah. You'll be missed more than words can say, until we meet again!
