Hans FITZEL Obituary
April 19, 1936 – July 12, 2014
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, Opa, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend. Hans was predeceased by his parents Johann and Maria Fitzel. He will be forever lovingly remembered by his wife Helga of 57 years; children Gertie, Robert (Linda) and Barbie; grandchildren Daniel, Nicole, Jamie and Kyle (fiancé Amanda); sisters Cecile (John) Fulbier, Maria (Erich) Lang; brother Paul Fitzel; brother-in-law Manfred in Germany; as well numerous nieces and nephews. Hans was born in Slovakia. He moved to Germany with his family when he was nine years old and later learned the trade of cabinet maker. He was very talented as he built a lot of nice furniture. In 1958 he immigrated to Canada with his wife and baby daughter Gertie. In 1973 he started Fitzel Construction. Hans loved to go fishing up north to Otter Lake and Echo Lake with his boat in his spare time. Special thanks to Dr. Salgado for the care provided over the years. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at Holy Child Roman Catholic Church 2636 7th Avenue East, Regina SK on Monday, July 21, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Danilo Rafael celebrant. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Hans may be made to the charity of your choice. Family and friends are invited to sign the online obituary and tributes page at www.regina- memorial.ca. Words will never be able to tell you how sorry I am about hearing about your Dad, Barb I wish I would have known he had taken a turn for the worse. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your Mom and the rest of your family. Your Dad sure will be missed by Bailey
