HANS NAUMANN

Hans would like everyone to know that effective February 21st, he is going to be staying with his friend Jesus for the foreseeable eternity.

Hans was born in 1936 in Stettin, Germany. Following the war, Hans' older brother Fritz immigrated to Canada and sponsored the entire family (parents Ernst and Frida, little sister Ursel (Bauerle) and Hans) for a brighter future together.

It was in St. Catharines where Hans' stunning blue eyes caught the attention of Fraulein Heide, who quickly became his wife in 1968. Soon thereafter they created a house of love (and sometimes chaos) with the births of Rita (John), Bernd (Bernadette), and Mike (Sandi).
During this time, Hans built positive connections with every member of his growing extended family. He also formed strong bonds with his church (Grace Lutheran) and at GM where he worked for over 35 years.

Hans loved and cherished spending time with his grand children Kate, Julian, Nathan, and Matthew. The grandkids are committed to continue Opa's legacy of cracking jokes, greeting with firm handshakes, watching German soccer, camping in Killarney and of course, enjoying ALL food.

Helping out a neighbour and giving to those less fortunate was very important to Hans. In lieu of flowers, the family would be grateful for donations to charities such as Out of the Cold or a charity close to your heart.

To commemorate Hans' life, a private graveside service for immediate family will be held. Please consider sending your memories, pictures, and stories to the Naumann's. We thank you for the steady flow of love and support over the years.
