Dear Goulette Family,
I'm sorry to hear about your loss of a great husband, son, and father. Harlan in the little time I knew him was a very passionate, caring, and enjoyable person. I'm fortunate to have the oppurtunity to have met him when I did. Please know that my thought and prayers are with you in these trying moments of life.

Once you were Harlans friend it was for life. He was a unique and unforgettable soul. We had some great times together, in Chicago, in Effie, MN and in the Cities. Life was an adventure for Harlan. I am grateful that he shared some of the adventure with me, my family and friends. He made my life richer and I will never forget him.
Gods speed, Harlan Goulett.

I responded to one of the many inquiries I received that Harlan lived like the shooting star that he was. No regrets. In lucid moments I've not known such lively repartee as I enjoyed with Harlan. I'll meet you on that country road buddy in time!

Dear Harlan and Goulett family;
One of my favorite, and most inspirational childhood friends, Harlan help me to build the foundations of how buddies get along. My memory of you is strong and based in our neighborhood games, playing matchbox cars in the yard and our tree forts. I see Dale now and again at our childrens sport meets, and although its been many years, let me saw that you will be sorely missed.

Har and I met in college, we both had lost our fathers when we were young, both of us idealists, artists, friend to the weary and down trodden and both wanted to be a hero for the working class. We hopped RR box cars to California sharing food with the road weary rail traveler,singing Woody Guthrie's tunes and Pete Seeger's We Shall Overcome Someday.
Life experiences took us down different roads and we lost touch, but he was the best man at my wedding and I loved him dearly. Harlan was one of a kind and the words to the song by Don Mclean come to mind: 'Vincent' ...the world was never meant for someone as beautiful as you... He touched many lives and took the injustice of the world to heart. He made a difference. My deepest sympathies to Diane, Dale, Betsy, his daughter Natalie, Aunt Cynthy and all his family.
Love and Light,
Mitch

Harlen, we'll miss our eccentric and lovable neighbor, and even Delilah the wonder dog will miss you talking over the fence to her. You left far too soon, and we hope you are driving around in a fully restored 50's International up there... Our thoughts are with your family, especially Natalie. God Bless & please let us know if there's anything we can do.

Dear Harlan: I hope you're riding your Harley in the sky and listening to rock. I cherish the days that we hung together at the Supreme Court drinking beer and talking about the law and love. I will miss your spirit. Steve Rau
