Harland Paul Nonhof, of Surprise, Arizona, died 9/13/ 2011, in Sun City West, Arizona.

Born 1/26/1929, in Cedar Grove, WI, to Anna (nee Dees) and Harry Nonhof, he married Marlys Herber 6/14/52 in Sheboygan, WI.

For over 27 years he taught music in grades 5-12 in New London, Greenwood and Campbellsport, WI. He lived in West Bend, Wisconsin, prior to moving to Arizona in 2003.

Survivors are: wife, Marlys Nonhof (Surprise, AZ); children ,Terri (Robert) Witte (Union Grove, WI), Michael (Laurel) Nonhof (Surprise, AZ), and Diana Portlance (West Bend, WI); grandchildren, Brian Witte (Union Grove, WI), Kristen (Ron) Beesley (Burlington, WI), Branden (Rachel) Witte (Union Grove, WI), Kaitlin Portlance (West Bend, WI), Julie, Ashley, Bryanah and Alexander Nonhof (Surprise, AZ); great-grandchildren, Carter Witte (Deceased: 2010), Ronnie Beesley, III (Burlington, WI), Ella Skylar (Union Grove, WI).

Preceding him in death - Father, Harry Nonhof; Mother, Anna Nonhof; Sister, Anita Nonhof; Sister, Elizabeth (Peter) Joosse; Brother, Bernard (Martha) Nonhof; other relatives and friends

Memorial services will be held October 16, 2011, at St. John's Lutheran Church, West Bend, WI, and October 23, 2011, at Crown of Life Lutheran Church, in Sun City West, Arizona. Both services will have visitation from 2-3 P.M., services at 3 P.M. with a meal and more visiting to follow.

In lieu of flowers, family prefers memorials to American Cancer Society, Multiple Sclerosis Society or the Music Department of either church.
