Mr. Burr gave me the blueprint for coaching and teaching in my community recreation programs. He has always been a influence and an example of how we give to one another.

I personally have a lot of fond memories of "COACH" Burr, most from the Elks lodge where we hung out and laughed, and watched the Gator football games on Saturdays. I loved attending the "Cubbies games at City Island park with him too, he was such and avid fan! I was also priveledged to have been coached by him in my adult years as a member of the Elks softball team. We were in the original Elks softball tournament that led to the state tourneys they play today. He was a good friend, and I will truly miss having him around. I have so many great memories that we shared and he was always kept me laughing. I am deeply saddened by his loss, and my prayers go out to all of the family. We will all miss you "COACH".
