Harold Lloyd Childers

Harold Lloyd Childers born February 2, 1927 returned to his heavenly home at age 90, on Sunday, August 13, 2017. A loving and devoted husband and father who had a strong love for the Lord. A World War II veteran in the U.S. Navy, he served four years for his country. Harold was a special man who was full of happiness and love for his family. He was such a kind and caring man who enjoyed making others laugh which brought him joy. He was such a blessing to have on this earth. He will be truly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Viva L. Earwood-Childers and William Authur Childers; son, Bruce Childers; two brothers, and one sister. Survivors include his loving wife, Ollie R. Childers; daughters, Cindy Jones, Therese Wise and Donna Clark; son, Lloyd Childers; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday, August 18, 2017, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home, Mobile. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Wilmer Baptist Church. A committal service will follow at Springhill Memorial Gardens. Rev. Terry Irby and Rev.
