Harold Jonathon Crowson
1931 - 2018
Harold Jonathon Crowson passed away peacefully at home in Eagle, Idaho on Monday, April 2, 2018.
Harold was a man of many interests and talents, a veteran, a builder, thinker, inventor and entrepreneur. He loved to read and never turned down an opportunity for a good discussion or lively debate about life, politics, or religion.
Harold was born June 13, 1931 in Gaylord, Kansas to Richard and Bessie Crowson. He was one of two boys and 9 sisters and was raised with the Word of God in the Wesleyan Holiness Church. The family later moved to Twin Falls, Idaho, where he and his sisters spent their formative years.
Harold proudly served in the United State Air Force as an in-flight refueler and after his service, attended the University of Idaho.
Harold married Mary (Mitzie) Louise Gillette in 1957 and together the couple welcomed 3 children, Marc (Nancy), Laurie (Michael) Burnell and Dave (Pam) Crowson. His work as a general contractor took him to many cities throughout the western states building custom homes, schools and commercial projects. During the early 1970's Harold enjoyed flying the family to Boise State football games sitting behind the controls in the pilot seat.
Harold married Marilyn Kay Wyant in 1992, bringing her 3 three children Linda Sundvik, Gary (Cynthia) Sundvik and Sandra McMillin into the family. Together they built PowerBelt Bullets, a successful muzzle loading bullet business and enjoyed traveling to trade shows and exotic locations to expand the business.
Harold and Marilyn's happiest times were spent at their Terrace Lakes cabin with their combined 6 children and 13 grandchildren Elizabeth (Jesse), Michael (Jen), Rebecca (Tom), Adam, Emma, Allie (Devon), Neil, Anne (Aaron), Mike, Lillian, Matthew, Tyler and Austin. Harold was looking forward to the July birth of his first great grandchild.
Wife Marilyn, brother Richard, son-in-law Michael, sisters JoAnn Marie, Mabel, Doris, and Ninah preceded Harold in death. He is survived by sisters Edith (Leonard) Johnson, Agnes (Lloyd) Rieger, Margrett Anderson, Roberta Mount, and Fran (Jim) Wallace and many cherished nieces and nephews.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to Julie and the staff from Horizon Hospice Services for their loving care of both Marilyn and Harold in their final weeks.
Friends and family will gather in celebration of Harold's life Saturday, April 7 at 3 o'clock in the afternoon at his home 1738 N. Prestwick Way, Eagle, Idaho.

I had the pleasure of working for Harold for 17 years and couldn't have asked for anything better. He was the most honest, smartest, quick minded, and giving, person I have ever met. I was lucky enough to spend time with Harold and Marilyn in Terrace Lakes playing cards, eating Marilyn's cooking and enjoying their company and all their energy. I will miss them both dearly.
