Dear Chester:
My Grandmother and your Father shared the most wonderfully devoted love and friendship for each other. They looked out for each other and spoke almost daily during the past few years. Nana always referred to Harold as "the Baby" and when he turned 90, I asked her if she still needed to call him by that name. She said "Yes," Harold will always be the "Baby." When Marion started to fail, Harold said to June that his "they weren't kids anymore and this was to be expected." The Goldberg family is a proud one and the siblings are fortunate to have lived into their 90s. We miss Edith terribly as did her siblings. It's meaningful that Nana will be with Harold, Jack, Nana Sarah, and the family as they all loved each other so much!
Love,
Stephen
