Harold Grace Obituary
WEST LAFAYETTE : Harold Eugene Grace, age 74, of West Lafayette, passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2016 after an extended illness at Walnut Grove. He was born on September 29, 1942 in Wadsworth, Ohio to the late Eugene and Lorena Mae (Perkins) Grace.
Harold was a 1961 graduate of West Lafayette High School and worked for 13 years for the Spur Gas Station and then for five years at Clark Oil as Manager. On September 10, 1966 he married Bonnie L Selders and spent 46 wonderful years together until her death on June 12, 2013.
Harold was the leader of the Grace Trio from 1985 to 1995. He was a member of the Coshocton County REACT team for 10 years. Harold enjoyed NASCAR, truck and tractor pulls, model trains, and he loved talking to people and making them laugh. Harold was a wonderful husband, father, and friend and will be missed by all that knew him.
Harold is survived by his son, Timothy Grace of West Lafayette; sisters-in-law, Barbra (Gerald) Dunfee of Coshocton and Joann Miller of Rochelle, IL; two cousins, Kenneth Dewitt of Clark, OH and Maxine McComas of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents and wife, Harold is preceded in death by his aunts and uncles, Clairice (Louie) Zaros and Freda (Raymond) Dewitt and his cousin, Dorothy (Clayton) Welch.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2016 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Given-Dawson Funeral Home and two hours prior to the funeral. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 4, 2016 at 1:00pm at Given-Dawson Funeral Home with Pastor Harold Sprague officiating. Burial will follow at Fairfield Cemetery.
For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made in Harold's name to Health Service/Hospice of Coshocton County, 230 S. 4th Street, Coshocton, Ohio 43812.

Tim, I cannot say enough wonderful things about your dad! I help to run the Thursday Bingo at the care center and he was such a joy--a fun Bingo player. Everyone loved when he was at the table. We could always count on him for a good laugh--like when he would get a Bingo and call out his numbers--instead of calling out the "free space", he would call out "free parking!!" He would always get a laugh. He will be missed beyond words. Much love to you Tim and your family.

He made us all laugh and in earlier years was a great spirit! As cousins it was always a fun time! Always humor in the air!

I met Harold at nursing home when I visited my Mom. He always had a nice smile and I always loved his nice shirts he wore.May God bring comfort and strengh to Tim during this time.
