WEST LAFAYETTE- Larry Truman Mayse, 83, died Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2026 at Danbury in Millersburg.
He was born Dec. 20, 1942 in Huntington, WV to the late Truman John and Ada Susan (White) Mayse. After graduating high school, Larry served in the US Navy for over 20 years and was honorably discharged. He was a retired boilermaker from Coshocton Regional Medical Center. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Larry loved dogs, and enjoyed traveling in his RV. He also enjoyed trivia, especially watching Jeopardy!
He is survived by his children, Carolyn Soderberg of Virginia Beach, VA, Kimberly (Michael) Tackett of Hawaii, James Truman (Jeri) Mayse of Elizabeth City, NC, Richard Alan (Mary Beth) Guenther of Portland, TN, Stephan Michael (Laura) Guenther of Coshocton, Robert Paul (Margaret) Guenther of Barberton, and Lisa Ann (Brian) Daugherty of Walhonding; 18 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his spouse of 46 years and best friend, Carole E. Mayse of Coshocton.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Laura Ann Guenther; siblings, Dale, Maxine, Lee, Judy, and Cathy; a grandson, Kevin Lacy Dillard; and an infant great-granddaughter, Alicia.
