Harold Graham Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 19, 2023.
Our dearly loved father, Harold Richard Graham, passed away peacefully on November 16th, 2023 at the age of 90. He was a humorous and hard-working man, who loved his family and friends. Some of his favorite things to do, in his free time were flying his airplanes and traveling in their RV. Richard was involved in multiple businesses and charitable organizations throughout his life and was well respected in all of the different communities he lived in. Michigan born in Traverse City, graduated from MI. State Uni. with a B.A., married Barbara A. Darrow, started a family, worked with politics as an org./coord. of candidates. When he moved to Mount Prospect, Illinois with hid four children and Barbara, besides his kids, his proudest accomplishments were developing Central Village condos for seniors and the Shriners Organization as a flight coordinator for burn victims. Then in Nevada, he started an appraisal business with Barbara, wrote a book on healing, and was a substitute teacher for high school students. H. Richard Graham is survived by: his children, Scott (Darla), Sallie, Neil (Jane), Rex (Deb) and 12 grandchildren and 22 Great-grandchildren. Our father is now together with our mother, in the arms of our Christ Jesus, along with all who passed before. Love to all.

Uncle Rich I can remember clearly playing football, softball and volleyball at the family reunions together. I will always cherish those memories and the time we spent together as a family at the reunions.

You a State Fan and I a Michigan Wolverine fan, who would have thought we could get along as we did:)

Say hi to all the relatives up there and keep watch over all of us.

Love Henry

My fondest memories of my grandfather were the many nights and weekends spent with them. As their first grandchild, I listened to old records, read old books, listened to Disney stories and nursery rhymes, plenty of music, planted and picked fresh strawberries and veggies from their garden and helped bake things with Grandma... but oh boy, did Grandpa have a sweet tooth!... he made concoctions of all things sweet... honey, peanut butter, cinnamon, oats, nuts, molasses, confectioners sugar, chocolate, etc... good grief it never ended. Most were fantastic, some were questionable, lol... but I always enjoyed my time with them. Fond memories that make me smile.
You will be missed but not forgotten, my loving hugs to you in heaven Grandpa
