Harold Eli Kaplowitz Hal Eli Kaplowitz, 82, passed away Thursday, Jan. 27, 2011. Service: 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 13, at J.E. Foust & Son Funeral Directors, 523 S. Main St., Grapevine. Memorials: Should friends desire, memorials may be given to the New York City Police Officers Benevolent Fund. Hal was born Jan. 5, 1929, in Bronx, N.Y. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. Hal was a proud retiree of the New York City Police Department. His special interest was physical fitness, and he spent many hours as an employee of the Grapevine Family Fitness Center. He will be missed by everyone whose life he had touched. Survivors: Wife, Mary Ann Kaplowitz; daughters, Linda Walton and husband, Jessie, Susan Disalvo and husband, Vito, Barbara Davidoff and husband, Phillip, Heidi Sauber and Jennifer Kaplowitz; and nine grandchildren.
