My sincere sympathy to the McKinley family & to all others who knew & loved Bud. Though it has been a long & challenging time for Bud & his family you must feel comfort in knowing that you provided such a caring & loving environment during this time. Though Bud was not always able to respond I believe that he was very much aware that he was surrounded by folks who loved him. This awareness I'm sure made his passing easier & more pleasant. Just know that the acute pain you feel now will fade. You will always love & miss Bud, but your pain will be replaced by fond memories. Elaine and family, I am so sad for all of you,you were such a loving, devoted family. I have lost my big brother, but you have lost a husband, Dad and Granddad. We will all miss his love and support. Growing up he was always my Hero.
I am sorry we will not be able to come to the services because of the approaching snowstorm. But our love and prayers will be with you all.

Elaine and family: It was with genuine sadness and sorrow that we learned of Bud's passing. Bud was our lifelong friend, mentor and shipmate. Due to Carl's physical health issues we will be unable to attend funeral services. You will be in our thoughts and prayers.
