Harold Sashin Obituary
Harold Sashin, a retired poultry farmer in Ellenville, and longtime resident of Ellenville, died on Sunday, December 3, 2006 in Memorial Regional Hospital Hollywood, Fla. He was 87.
Harold was born in New York City the son of Morris and Sophie Borkin Sashin. Harold was a former Director of Associated Mutual Insurance Company and Inter County Farmers Feed Co-Op as well as a former Town of Wawarsing Town Judge. He is a member of Congregation Anshe Tzaydik and Ezrath Israel Synagogue's in Ellenville, a longtime member of Mason's, Ellenville and Kerhonkson Lion's Club and the noonday club and many other clubs and organizations.
He is survived by his wife, Muriel Claire Angerman Sashin at home; his daughter, Johanna Belt and her husband, Jason of Scranton, Pa.; his two brothers, Leo and Sol Sashin both of Florida; and his three grandchildren, Sonya Sashin, Timothy and Allyson Belt.
He was predeceased by his two sisters, Ethel and Gertrude.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, December 6, 2006 at 12 p.m. in Congregation Ezrath Israel Synagogue, Rabbi Eisner Square, Ellenville. Rabbi Moshe Frank will officiate. Burial will be in Anshe Tzaydik Cemetery, Route 209, Wawarsing.
