Harold A Snyder

Age 79, of North Canton, passed away on Friday, December 9, 2022, after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was born on July 31, 1943, in Massillon, OH to the late, Loretta and Harold Snyder. Harold served his country honorably for two years between 1965-1967 as a Sergeant in the United States Army. He retired from USF Holland in 2003 after 42 years as a truck driver. Harold was very dedicated to his family and Catholic faith. His small acts of kindness towards his extended family and friends maintained lifelong relationships. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, John "Ned" Snyder, and his beloved aunt, Mary Ferris. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Elizabeth (Belopotosky) Snyder; children, Ann (Joe) Post of Akron, Christopher (Christina) Snyder of Perry Twp., John (Samantha Stein) Snyder of Canton, Sara Snyder of North Canton, and Katie (Bobby) Lewis of North Canton; grandchildren, Holly and Henry Post, Madison and Mason Snyder, John Stein, Emily Snyder, and Carter and Lauren Lewis; sister, Joan (Bob) Morje of Columbus, OH; and many cousins, in-laws, and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at 10:30AM, at St. Paul Catholic Church (241 South Main Street, North Canton, OH 44720) with Rev. Simon Mino as Celebrant. Family and friends may call one hour prior to the mass at the church. Burial will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at a later date.
