Harold Walter Whittington, 68, of Pearl passed from this life Friday, March 28, 2014 at Hospice Ministries, Ridgeland.

Visitation will be held 12:00-3:00pm, Friday, April 4, 2014 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home.

He was born Wednesday, June 6, 1945 in Jackson, a son of the late Elvin Whittington and Beatrice Hammon Whittington. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in the Vietnam War. He worked in construction in the Jackson area for many years and attended Truitt Memorial Baptist Church in Pearl.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Lou Whittington, in 2006.

Survivors include daughter, Candace Lowry and husband Chris; son, Chris Whittington; grandchildren, Ethan Lowry and Brittany Clark; sisters, Linda Truitt and husband Marion, Earline Eldridge and Cathy Guess and husband Walter; and brother, Jerry Whittington and wife Sheila.

The family wishes to express a special thanks to Harold's best friend, Larry Driver, and his niece, Amy Gentry, for their loving support.
