Mr. Wayne Barrett, age 82 of Antioch, Tennessee, passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville.
He was born in Nashville, Tennessee, the son of the late Granville Buchanan Barrett and Minnie Ola Fly Barrett. Mr. Barrett was a former member of the Donelson Church of the Nazarene and was a member of the Generation Changers Church for 41 years. He was a devout Christian and never met a stranger. He was known for his vast collections of hats that brought smiles to everyone he met.
He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Dora Barrett, and several cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, October 13, 2017 at Hibbett & Hailey Funeral Home, 429 Donelson Pike, Nashville, Tennessee 37214 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm, and also Saturday, October 14, 2017 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am.
The Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Hibbett & Hailey Funeral Home at 11:00 am with Bishop Jerry Smith and Pastor David Hill officiating.
Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, 5350 NW Broad Street, Murfreesboro, Tennessee 37219 at 1:00 pm.
Arrangements under the direction of Hibbett & Hailey Funeral Home, Nashville, Tennessee.

I knew Wayne, his Mom and Dad many years ago. He was a very
special person and had his smile for everyone.
