It is never easy to lose a loved one, I pray you find comfort in Gods promise found at John 6:40 which says that soon we will see all our loved ones again. My deepest condolences to the family.

I am very sorry to hear of your mother's passing. Pardon me for asking at this time but I wonder I might be related to your Brooks side. There are not too many Jewish Brooks families. We are originally from Philadelphia. My late father, Howard Brooks, was born in 1930. He had an older sister, Evelyn Brooks Noyovitz and a younger brother, Arnold. My grandfather used the name Leo or Leon Brooks ( original name Lazar or Layzoc) and owned 2 gas stations/ tire stores. He and my grandmother, Ida (Chaika) lived above their tire store at 3rd and Diamond in Philadelphia from the 1930's thru early 1960's. They also tried chicken farming for a time in NJ outside of Philly. My father said that his father and uncles always used the name Brooks and he was unable to find an original name. My late mother also told me of another unrelated Brooks family also in Philadelphia. My e-mail is [email protected]. Again my condolences.

So very sad to learn of Aunt Harriet's passing. My condolences to all those she loved so dear.
This photo I came across, appears to have been taken in Bethesda, perhaps by uncle Dave, in the 1950's I would guess.
It is my hope, Grandpa and Grandma Kahn, Aunt Harriet and my mom are all together again.
May the memory of these beloved family members be for a blessing. Amen
