Harrison Burke Obituary
January 15, 2006 - July 25, 2011
On July 25 our beautiful son Harrison Ireland Burke was sadly taken from us due to a drowning accident at Sylvan Lake, Alberta.
He will be lovingly remembered by his parents Christine and Ron and his twin sister Peyton, grandparents Diane and Allen Ireland, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Although our son lived a short 5 1/2 years, they were full of love and happiness for him and those he touched.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 06, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Central United Church (1 Street and 7 Avenue S.W., Calgary).
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Harrisons memory to the Alberta Childrens Hospital Foundation ( www.childrenshospital.ab.ca ).

Christine, I had only just met you by chance at the Sylvan Marina when your boat ran out of gas and I drove you to your cabin to get some help. I was saddened to learn of your tradgedy and my heart goes out to you and your family. I hope that the memories of happy times spent together at Sylvan will comfort you all in the difficult days ahead. Our deepest sympathies to your family.

We do not know you, but our deepest condolences. We too lost a child to a sudden, accidental drowning during a flood and we know from experience that these are the darkest days of your life. We are now able to laugh again and enjoy our other child and hope you too will find comfort in your daughter. We will always miss our daughter, as you will your son, but the pain does lessen over time.

I do not know your family, but my sympathy goes out to all of you. There is nothing worse than losing your own child. What a BEAUTIFUL LITTLE BOY! I am a twin myself, and growing up, my brother and myself were like two peas in a pod - we did everything together, and 50+ years later, we are still close. I am sure Peyton misses him dearly. My heart aches for you all. My thoughts and prayers are with you all, and may God be with you and comfort you through this most terrible loss and tragedy.
