Dear Aunt Ruth, Karl, Linda, and Lori,
I always think of Uncle Harry and you all when I see Ghiardelli chocolate. Thanks for introducing me and now Sam, John, and Heather to hot fudge sundaes in San Francisco!
I also think of Uncle Harry and you when I hear or see Jack London books or movies and seven course Italian dinners in Sebastapol. I am so glad we got together at Thanksgiving! What fun when you surprised me and picked me up from junior high school.
Thanks to Uncle Harry for teaching me how to bowl, for taking us to Fairyland and to history spots around the Bay area, to Disneyland, to San Diego where we discovered Magic Fingers massaging beds, and
and for raving about all-you-can-eat Anderson's split pea soup!
Uncle Harry's enthusiasm for football and for attending the Olympics in L.A. long ago encouraged my parents to see two live events! Amazing since my Dad usually didn't like to spend money on sports.
Sam's favorite memory is Uncle Harry finding out about and taking us to that famous all-you-can-eat buffet in London where we had leg of lamb and more! We all also enjoyed a walking tour of Oxford and Churchill's Blenheim Palace in 1977. We always appreciated your warm hospitality whenever we have visited and especially when we had to move Heather out of Berkeley! The hot tub was fun, and the fresh raspberries, oranges, and mega breakfasts were special.
Diane will always remember the twinkle in Uncle Harry's eye when we had just finished breakfast, and he walked over to Aunt Ruth and said, "What's for lunch?!"
Much love, Diane Eggimann Glasgow and Sam Glasgow
