Bev, I'm so sorry for your loss. I have way to many memories to list. Lyle always made me laugh. I'm sure he hated having to watch me and tote me around when our parents were doing whatever. I miss our family thanksgivings. Praying for peace and comfort for you and the family. I love you Bev. Lyle I love you too. See you soon Lyle.

To Bev and the Rundell Family,
My deepest sympathies to all of you.
I will always cherish the friendship we first developed playing football for Einstein High School in 1969. We ended up playing three years together at Einstein and continued to play for a year at Montgomery College.
I was very proud when Lyle chose me to be his best man at his wedding. It was a true honor.
Lyle´s love for his family and the courage he demonstrated for the last several years dealing with illnesses have been extremely inspirational to me and adds further to the respect I already had for him.
Lyle was a special friend and the epitome of a family man who I will greatly miss.

I knew Lyle ever since elementary school, all the way thru High School.
I played defensive end next to Lyle who played left defensive tackle.
He was a force of nature and fearless. Off the field he was funny, had
a great sense of humor, always fun to be with.
Lyle married Bev, I think it was, in my opinion a great match.
I lost track of him for years, until I spotted Mike O'Donnell at a
party (a great friend of Lyle who I had also lost track of.) I mentioned
to Mike that my wife and I were looking for a house. Mike told me
that Lyle was a real estate agent and gave me his number.
He was probably a good fisherman because he showed us about
30 houses, and that takes patience. Finally one day Lyle said
"today I will show you 3 houses and you will buy one of them, but
only I know which one. Lyle was right and my wife Saroja and I
have lived here in Columbia for more than 20 years!
Lyle was always fun to be with, his great sense of humor, his kindness,
his courage and optimism and his intelligence. We are in mourning,
this is a great loss, but I can't stop thinking that his friends and family
that have passed on and the Angels are celebrating Lyle's Homecoming!

I was so saddened to learn of Lyle' passing. We knew each other from elementary school all the way through high school. While we lost touch over the years, reading about the wonderful life he lived and the incredible person he became has truly touched me. It's a powerful reminder of how precious our connections are, and I feel it was my loss that we didn't stay in touch. My deepest condolences to his family and all who loved him.

Sending my love to Bev, Aunt Myrt, Jason, Matt, Billy and all grandchildren + great grandchild. My Mom Lindy Oleson adored Lyle so much and we all enjoyed his comedy, friendly teasing and loving embraces at every family gathering. I have a fond memory of him taking me to my first MLB game. He took the time to shepherd a handful of us younger ones during a 1995 Oleson family reunion to a Baltimore Orioles game! It was magical to me as a 12 year old boy and I will never forget it or him. He is one of a kind and the world was gifted to have him in it.

Prayers of peace and comfort to Bev, my son in law, his brothers and all of the family. We have fond memories of him driving us to all of the DC sites, dropping us off and picking us up to go to the next site. We always lost in the game of ball toss and had to do the dishes. It was ok after a great meal and exceptional competition! Wonderful memories we cherish. God be with you now in this time of loss.
