Harry Watson Obituary

HARRY W. WATSON, 89, of Fort Wayne, died Saturday, Oct. 15, 2005, 8:24 p.m., at Lutheran Home. Born Feb. 24, 1916, in New York, N.Y., he was a project engineer for Phillips (Magnavox) for more than 30 years, retiring in 1986. He served in the Navy and was discharged in 1945. He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church and Service Corp of Retired Executives. Surviving are his wife, Lillian (Sealander) Watson of Fort Wayne; one daughter, Holly Golliver of Manassas, Va.; and three sons, William (Madeleine) Watson of Richardson, Texas, Don (Eileen) Watson of Tucson, Ariz. and Peter (Kay) Watson of Zionsville; one brother, Joseph Watson of Syracuse, N.Y.; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph W. Watson and Eleanor (Welljung); and a son, Theodore Watson. Memorial service is 1 p.m. Thursday at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, with visitation from 11:30 a.m. until time of service. Pastor Thomas Eggold officiating. Burial in Nassau Knolls, Port Washington L.I., N.Y. Preferred memorials to Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Jefferson Blvd., Fort Wayne.

Very nice to have meet both of you while your mother was eating supper. We did not know the sad news till today We are always there at Lutheran and will always check up on her. We don't have any words that will take away the sorrow, but we want you to know we care.
