Harry "Wes" Fishburn Obituary
He was born on May 1, 1934, in Springfield, the son of the late Harry M. and Kathryn (Sexton) Fishburn. He married Cora Sue Fettis on October 3, 1975 in Springfield and she survives.
Wes served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict era. He worked as a carpenter with the Local Union Hall #16 in Springfield and was a member of the Eagles' Club in Springfield.
Besides his wife Cora Sue, he is survived by 2 daughters, Ava Marie (husband Thomas Pacholke of Virginia, IL and Russie Jean Nation of Springfield; 1 son Lance LeRoy (wife Tracy) Fishburn of Springfield; 2 step-daughters, Holly Woods and Sherry Williams, both of Springfield; 2 step-sons, James Woods of Springfield and Robert Woods, of Ina; 26 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren; and 2 siblings, Alvie Fishburn of Springfield and Rosemarie Koss of Florida.
He was preceded in death by 1 son Wesley Maxwell Fishburn; 1 daughter Roxanne Scharf; 1 step-son Rodney Woods; 1 step-daughter Tina Pflug; and 1 sister Katherine Hibbs.
Services are under the direction of Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 E. Allen, where visitation will be held on Monday, October 29, 2018 from 4 to 7 pm. Per his wishes, cremation rites will follow and a private internment will take place at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Illinois Veterans Home in Quincy, IL.
