Harvey moved through life with a grace and gentleness that touched our family deeply. He was a grandfather figure for our sons Alex and Graham, who enjoyed his boyhood stories that he so willingly shared with them. He will be held in our hearts with much love. You will be sorely missed Harvey.
We send our love and friendship to Nancye and family--keeping you in the circle of light....

Harvey Friesen was my grandpa. I am the second oldest grandchild. I remember all the fun times we had together. Grandpa is a hero. He went on the news and saved lots of people from cancer. I am very proud of that. Grandpa was really nice and was lots of fun to be with. Thank you for the support.
Love Hannah (age 8)

Sincere condolences to Harvey's family. Although I didn't really know Harvey in his adult life and career, I fondly remember the days when we were growing up north of McMahon, Saskatchewan, traveling back and forth the mile and a half from our farm, to visit our cousins on the farm where he grew up.

I can hear Harvey's voice and see his smiling face so clearly; he's still with us. Harvey truly listened when you spoke to him, and his words always uplifted and comforted. His was a bright soul in a sometimes dark world. I am privileged to have known him.

Harvey was a very special human being; having only met him on a couple of occasions, he made a very strong impression with his caring, his humility, and his depth of soul. My warmest wishes go out to Nancye and all of Harvey's family. God bless you!

Our condolences to the Friesen family. When I think about Harvey the words that come to mind are generosity and hospitality. When I moved to Canada, Harvey was the first person to welcome me to his home. He will be missed.

I will always remember Mr. Friesen as the calm parent - whenever we got in trouble as teenagers. He was always smiling and always made you feel welcomed in his home. The kitchen he worked on for all that time finally paid off - it was beautiful. I know from Tara how he was the best father and grandfather anyone could ask for and my thoughts and prayers are with you Tara, your mom, the rest of your family and especially the grandchildren. Tara I will be thinking of you on Saturday and I terribly sorry that I cannot make it down. Lots of love Shannon xoxo

Uncle Harvey is a very special man. I will never forget his voice or his kindness. We had such a great visit last summer, and he took such good care of me when I was sick. He also made a bed for me to sleep in. I am very sad that he has gone, but also look forward to seeing him again in heaven. Our thoughts and prayers are with the rest of the family at this time also.

Uncle Harvey was my second dad. His guidance and affirmation in my life will never be forgotten, but it will sure be missed. We have to say good-bye for a time, but we will meet in Heaven some day. I love you all very much!
