OBERG, Harvey Fredrick (Fritz) "The last of the Great Buffalo Hunters" Harvey Fredrick (Fritz) Oberg passed away on February 15, 2005 after a long battle with cancer. Fred will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Lorraine, daughters, Monica Lynn (Chester), Kim Michelle (Bill), grandsons, Katlin, Brandon and Tareck; sisters, Elsie Walsh, Ann (Don) Paterson, Helen (Roly) Ferris, Elvie Keir, Shirley (Wayne) Flanagan, Linda (Noel) Holfield; brothers Ray (Merle), Jim ( (Dolores), Norman; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; mother-in-law, Mary Kereliuk, sisters-in-law, Sophie Gordichuk, Lil (Richard) Toma; brothers-in-law and best of friends, Ernie Keryliuk, Stan (Betty) Kereliuk and Terry (Linda) Kereliuk. Fred was predeceased by his father Erick in April 1997, Christine in July 1997 and mother Mary in October 1997, brothers, Ross in 1994 and Milton in 1988. A Prayer Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday February 18, 2005 at the Evergreen Funeral Chapel, 16204 Fort Road. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 19, 2005 at the chapel. Final resting place will be in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Edmonton General Hospital, Palliative Care, 9Y, 11111 Jasper Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta, T5K 0L4. Deepest thanks and appreciation to the nursing staff of the Edmonton General Hospital Palliative Care for their love, care and compassion.
