Harvey and I grew up in the same Church, First Baptist on 23rd Street and Jefferson Avenue. He was a fun loving young man. We also graduated in 1969 from Huntington High School. When anyone you grew up around, you think of them and hope they have been successful. I often thought of Harvey and Lawrence because they were funny, but also respectful. My Mother, Martha Cherry and Mrs. Doris were friends. I am deeply sorry. I will keep you in my Prayers. May God give you the strength and comfort needed during this difficult time. God Bless You.

Harv and I go back to elementary school days when his family lived on 33rd Street in Virginia. Having lost contact after H.S. I have often thought of him over the years.Haing been lactose intolerant, he and I would often trade lunch items as his way of relinquishing his milk(murk) as he pronounced it. Family and friends, this lose is significant not only to me, but his many classmates from Thomas Jefferson to Huntington H.S.

Dear Daddy, words cannot express how much I miss you right now! How my heart aches with every beat! I knew this day may come, but how stupid of me to think i'd be able to just accept it happily. Everyone says you're in a better place and I do believe that because your heart was on fire for The Lord, but it doesn't change the fact I call your voicemail 50 times to hear your voice and replay videos several times to see you laugh. It doesn't help my memories of you eating hotdogs, or saying "hey big buddy" to Amari, or saying "I love you" fade away. It doesn't help me forget how you understood me so well, or how secure and safe you made my life by just being here!!! Now my world is turned upside down!! My securities and my life have been broken in so many ways. They'll never be a holiday, Christmas, birthday, etc that will be the same. This experience watching you go from here to Glory with God has taught me to live happily and love, love, love others. I'm sorry we didn't get to go the beach one last time, but I promise you, I will live my life to be the best person I can be, so when God calls me like he called you, I will spend the rest of eternity with you in heaven. I love you so much and you'll never be forgotten. You were the best dad ever, I appreciate everything you did!!! You are in my heart until the day I see you again!! Tearfully, Felicia

A Brother in Arms, a brother in spirit, a brother for life. That is who "Tuck" is to me.
I first met him when the Air Force assigned me to Nellis AFB in 1992. He worked in a classified location and was being reassigned to the Nellis Ground Safety office where I worked. Not having met before, we discovered that we had each bought a house on the same street. We soon became friends and he actually became my supervisor. I am sure that I am the cause of some of the grey hairs he developed. We worked at Nellis until I retired in 1994. Tuck retired shortly after me and was hired on at Ocean Spray in Henderson. He helped me to get an interview there and his lobbying on my behalf was instrumental in getting me hired to work with the same team as him. Often, after work a few of us would stop off for "choir practice" at one of the local karaoke bars. Tuck had a beautiful voice and loved to sing. He would often have Carl and me accompany him as back-up and it was clear to all around the joy this brought to him.
He was my best man when I got married and moved to Henderson. He was always there when I needed him. Tuck always "had my back" and he knew I had his. We shared many good times together, whether shooting pool at my home, going out for the evening, or just chilling at his house.
We formed a bond which cannot be matched. I will always love and remember him as my brother in life and try to live my life to be worthy of the chance to see him again someday.
We Love You, Tuck! Bruce and Dee

Deborah and Family,
In the night of death, a bright beam shines for the heavens is welcoming another soul towards his eternal home. Heaven is free of pain and sorrows that we know. That is the best place of eternal abode with our Maker. Don't worry for he is such in good hands. May his soul rest in perfect peace.

To Deborah and Family,
"God's Secret Garden"
God looked around His garden
And found an empty place.
He then looked down upon the earth
And saw Harvey's face.
He put his arms around Him
And lifted him to rest.
God's garden must be beautiful
He always takes the best.
He saw the road was getting rough
And the hills were hard to climb,
So He closed his weary eyelids
And whispered "Peace be thine".
I know it broke your hearts to lose him
But he didn't go alone,
For part of you all went with him
The day God called Havey home.

My deepest condolence to Felicia and her family. I was truly blessed to have shared laughs and jokes with Mr. Tucker (Dad) during my high school years and a little after. I will always remember walking into the living room and watching him play video games. You will forever be in our hearts. Love you
