Hazel Glover

Glover, Hazel Irene June 16, 1911March 14, 2009 On Saturday, March 14, 2009 Hazel Irene Glover passed away. A memorial service will be held at the Osage Community Church on June 20, 2009 at 2:00 PM. Hazel was predeceased by her parents Harry and Alice Earl her husband Frank Glover, one infant daughter, two brothers Doug and Clarence Earl, one brother-in-law Clifford Shirley and one sister-in-law Daisy Earl. She is survived by her sons Ron (Madge) Glover Osage, Don (Barb) Glover Osage, Grandsons Scott (Kylee) Glover Osage, Tim Glover Houston Texas, Rommel Glover Osage. One Granddaughter Alison (Andrew) Shanaida Weyburn, Great Grandchildren Tori and Brody Glover Osage, Eric Shanaida. Hunter Shanaida and Nikita Shanaida Weyburn, One sister Marge Shirley Rocanville, One sisterin-law Marge Earl Weyburn. Hazel was born June 16, 1911 in Hamilton TWP Northumberland Co. Ont. Canada. She moved west with her family they stopped at Kendal, Sask. and moved to a farm North of Osage. Hazel took her schooling at Niel school and later at Osage then Fillmore. In 1934 she married Frank Glover. They moved to the Latham District, where they farmed for several years. In 1946 they moved into Osage and became the Imperial Oil Agents, and started Glover's Service and sold GM cars and trucks. Minneapolis Moline Farm Equipment and later Versatile Equipment, and various other short lines and products. Hazel did the accounting and looked after the parts department until 1973 when Don took over the business, at this time she continued to do the books and supervise. Hazel loved nature the outdoors and the weather. Hazel was also always concerned about her family, friends, community, country, and the church, she would help in anyway she could. If there was no physical or financial way she could help she would pray for them. In later years Hazel would once a week make cookies or tarts for the residences of the Fillmore Nursing Home, and there she would entertain the residences by playing the piano. This is where she spent her last days under the excellent and loving care from the staff of the Fillmore Health Centre.
